This young lady will be ready to experience a fall hunting season. She is what we consider a started dog, comes, stays, collar conditioned, force trained to retrieve to hand. She may have the looks of a short-haired, but she is purebred wirehair. Short coat but very thick, harsh. Lacks beard but that takes nothing away from her abilities. Great disposition.

Sarge

“Sarge is a little over 1 year old now and we couldn’t be happier with a GWP that has so much natural talent. The Sire was Zeuss and the Dam was Ruby and boy they produced an amazing dog! This is my sixth GWP of which none had this much instinctive hunting and prey drive! He is attentive and all business in the field. Just returned from a week of pheasant hunting and he tracked…pointed and retrieved as if he had been at this for years…I wasn’t able to work him on live birds prior and it turned out his natural ability was excellent…I will admit his desire can get you a little dizzy in the field:) by no means a bad thing! He is excellent with kids…other dogs and cats. His coat requires virtually no maintenance…I’m totally impressed and will be in touch with Funks Kennel when it’s time for another pup! Gerry has been so helpful to answer training questions! 5 stars! Thanks Dean Mierau”
